First I glued a piece of aluminum foil to a piece of card stock. I just took a foam brush and spread Studio Matte Medium all over the back of a piece of card stock. You need to be quick and cover every little bit of paper. I think Yes paste would work well too.
Then I put it in the 8.5 x 11 embossing folder and ran it through the eBosser. (I did this while the glue was still wet and it worked really well)
Next, I took a foam brush and painted Martha Stewart's metallic paint all over the foil, working in circles to make sure it got in all the nooks and crannies. then I wiped off and buffed the top with a paper towel. Easy Peasy and it really looks like metal!
Then I painted the sides with that same metallic paint. (I bought it at Home Depot....sometimes it pays to shop with the Hubby!)
The images and papers were all inked to give them a vintage feel, I think they work perfectly with the
vintage buttons and lace.
You could use this technique on cards, Mini albums.....oohhhh...a whole cover made with the faux tin would be soooo pretty, and with the large size of the Craftwell folders, so doable....altered boxes, journal covers.....so many ideas, so little time! lol
